Research carried out a few years ago showed that Asian consumers were only half as likely as other ethnic groups to have heard of the ombudsman and its impartial role in settling financial disputes.
But following a series of awareness-raising campaigns by the ombudsman service since then, there has been a two-fold increase in levels of awareness of the ombudsman across the Asian community.

We regularly take part in national and regional Asian-lifestyle and community-events across the UK, including London, Cardiff and Glasgow.
We are also running a targeted awareness-raising initiative aimed at the Midlands where levels of awareness of the ombudsman service are lower.
